This excursion is catered for the nature lovers! Here you will have the chance to hold a Sloth, play with monkeys, let the birds fly over you, and more…
First, we meet you at port for pick-up. Meeting time is 1 hour 30 minutes after cruise docking time. You will head to the Exit Gate and look for the Explore Roatan sign.
Our first stop will be “The View” at Coxen Hole. Here you will have the chance to take photos with a magnificent panoramic view as your backdrop. You will also get some time to browse at the different local souvenir stands.
Our second stop is “Sloth and Monkey Park”. Here you will have the chance to hold a sloth, while monkeys play around you. Birds like macaws and parrots will fly to you to get pampered. Learn about the “island rabbit” or other Roatan endemic species.
Soon after, we are headed to “The Chocolate Factory”, where you are getting free samples of the several artisanal chocolate flavors. Then we are headed to West End Village, which is Roatan’s busiest avenue.
Get ready to be blown away by the ocean view at “The Rum Factory”. Here you will find over 50 Rum flavors as well as many Rum Cake options.
Later, we take you for a relaxing time at West Bay Beach, one of the Caribbean’s Top Ten beaches, where your feet are going to be soothed by white sand beach and turquoise water. Now get your bathing suits ready to soak up the sun on some of the Caribbean’s top beaches! Submerge yourself into the warm tropical waters and snorkel above the second largest barrier reef in the world just meters from the shore! You can add snorkel from shore ($25 US PP) or snorkel from boat ($35 US PP). This includes all snorkeling gear and guide. After all the fun, we head back to the ship. We guarantee to have you there with at least 2 hours before ship departure. Explore Roatan staff’s main goal is to do their best to guarantee your satisfaction.
Because of Covid we started offering our customers the option of making their excursion a private one for $10 US extra PP. This means you won’t be sharing a ride with another group.
